Welcome to Year 5!

Hello and a very warm welcome to our Year 5 class page! I hope that we have a fantastic year together and form a safe, happy and caring class, who make great progress with our learning.

Year 5 is a time of fantastic growth, where children become more independent, confident and curious about the world around them. This year, we’ll be diving into exciting topics, exploring new skills and working together to make brilliant memories along the way.

Spelling

We will be using the Essential Spelling and Word Knowledge approach, looking at root words, prefixes and suffixes, and the rules which determine how these combine to form words.
