In September 2013 the DFE provided all primary schools with additional annual funding for schools to develop a legacy to improve physical education and sports provision within school. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spend on the provision of PE and sport within schools.

At Almondsbury CE Primary School, we recognise the contribution of PE, School Sport and Physical Activity to the health and well-being of our pupils. We take great pride in the Physical Education Curriculum and the wide variety of opportunities we provide for our children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum, a physically active environment and a wide variety of extracurricular opportunities all have a positive influence on the concentration, confidence, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

Each year we will publish and share how we spend the additional funding from the government to further enhance sport at Almondsbury CE Primary School. See below the Strategy documents on how we spend the Sports Premium funding. These are attached below.
