6. Term 6
Welcome back to the Term 6, our final term in Reception!
This term we will be exploring water! This year the children have shown a key interest in all things water, so we will be looking at stories including mermaids, pirates, sea creatures and will also learn how we can look after our seas and oceans.
We will also be looking at maps, finding out where our school is, where we live and creating our own maps too. We will be reading stories which use maps including ‘What the Ladybird Heard’.
Our traditional tales for this term are:
‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and ‘The Ugly Duckling’.
Our Super Value this term is 'Justice’.

Friday 30th June – Reception school trip
Saturday 1st July – Summer family fun day
Monday 3rd July – Pirate day
Thursday 13th July - Change up morning (children visit their new class & teacher)
Friday 14th July – Celebration day and picnic, school reports issued
Friday 21st July - Last day of the academic year
