About Us
Our school structure
We are a one and a half form entry primary school in a semi-rural location in South Gloucestershire. We have two Reception classes and then three classes within Key Stage 1 and six classes within Key Stage 2. The children come from Almondsbury and the surrounding areas.
We are a happy school with lots of energy, enthusiasm and high expectations for all pupils and staff. We are very proud of all our pupils and their achievements, whether it be academic, sporting or musical. We have talented and keen pupils ready to learn and build their knowledge and understanding.
Our successes
We are extremely pleased with our Ofsted inspection during June 2017 and are proud to announce that we were deemed to be 'OUTSTANDING' in all areas judged. A fantastic achievement for all concerned. Our last SIAMS inspection was in June 2019, this is our inspection as a Church School from the Diocese of Bristol. We were deemed to be 'Excellent' in all areas inspected, which is a great achievement! We have now held this judgement for the past 10 years. Read our latest report via the attachment below.

By 2020 ensure pupils who are deemed to be middle achievers are provided with focus teaching to enable them to achieve expected standards by the end of the key stages. Ensure greater number of pupils make better progress at end of KS1 and 2. |
Maintenance |
Maintain the achievements of SEN/FSM children, ensure above average progress, and diminish the differences in attainment to their peers Children identified as more able are on track to achieve greater depth. |

To maintain personal development, behaviour and attitudes, including safeguarding, at outstanding. |
Targets |
By 2020 further increase FSM attendance to be similar to that of their peers. Throughout 2019/20 participate in studies and programmes relating to improving pupil’s mental health and wellbeing. By 2020 ensure all pupils have a better understanding of their well-being and how to cope with various aspects including anxiety, mental health and physical health. |

Continue to provide parent with opportunities to develop strategies to enable them to support their child’s mental health as well as their own. |

By 2020 all curriculum areas will have detailed content, progression and revision of subjects throughout the school. By 2020 all staff will have knowledge and understanding to promote early reading and the love of reading. By 2020 successfully introduce and implement a new PSHE and RSE curriculum. |

Further develop the teaching and learning of reasoning and problem solving in Maths. Ensure pupils understand and know times tables by the end of Year 4 Maintain teaching that is no less than good and much will be outstanding. |
