France Thursday
It feels like a DISNEY day today!
It was sunny and warm as we made our way to Disneyland Paris and stayed that way the whole way through the day. It was a very excited coach as we approached the entrance.
Once we had made our way through security and the crowds we headed straight for the first ride 'Big Thunder Mountain'. It wasn't too long before we were on that runaway train and screaming at the top of our heads as we went over, around and under on the train track. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
From there we headed to Pirates of the Caribbean to see Jack Sparrow - then onto the teacups for a bit of spinning fun before the best ride 'It's a small world'. We maximised time by eating lunch in the queues (which were quite long due to the crowds) before heading over to Star Tours and the one we all wanted to go on 'Hyperspace Mountain'. This was truly exhilarating and all those who went on wanted to have a second go. However, due to the length of the queue we headed over to 'Buzz Lightyear Laser Quest' to try to get the highest score.
From there it was over to the 'Haunted Mansion' and then the Crazy Maze' from Alice in Wonderland. We saw various characters along the way, meeting Cinderella, seeing Tigger and Eyeore, Pinocchio and Getpeto, Princess Aurora and amazingly Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
It was then time for the parade and making our very important purchase in the shop. This took some time as there was so much to choose from. The parade was great seeing all of the characters in one place was thrilling.
It was sadly time to go home but were all so happy having spent the day in Disney - especially the birthday boy.
Back at the chateau dinner beckoned and the opportunity to try some snails in garlic butter. There were so many that did try. It was then time for the disco and our last activity at the chateau.
A great day was had by everyone!!
