Wider Opportunities evolved from the government promising that all primary aged pupils will have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. At Almondsbury, we have a rolling programme of musical tuition, delivered by employees of South Gloucestershire Music Hub, ensuring all children have access to a wide range of music experiences.

When children reach Year 3, they can opt to have lessons in small groups if 3 or 4 and learn either:

• VIOLIN
• VIOLA
• CELLO
• CLARINET
• SAXOPHONE
• FLUTE
• GUITAR
• KEYBOARD
• DRUMS
• TRUMPET
• TROMBONE
• CORNET

Lessons are taught by South Gloucestershire Music Staff and there is a charge.
