Reading 

In Year 1 when teaching Early Reading, we focus on learning the year 1 sounds and also the year 1 and 2 common exception words, which are attached below. In year 2 the children will be developing their comprehension skills. 

Reading books will be changed every Friday for the Year 1 children and every Thursday  for the Year 2 Children.

The Year 1 children will be given 1 books to bring home each week.
