We are excited to increase the amount of extra-curricular clubs that we can offer this Autumn term.
Whilst we are able to start up many of our clubs, it may take a little longer for us to build up the range of clubs we had running before the pandemic. This is due to changes of circumstances and availability of coaches to run the sessions. These may change on a termly basis.
However, we are really excited to be able to offer a yoga session for children this term which is focused on developing children’s physical and mental wellbeing.
We are also starting up a dance session with Katie Kettle, who is a qualified dance teacher and an ex pupil of Almondsbury C of E School. In the dance sessions, the children will be able to experience a variety of dance styles including contemporary, latin and acro.
We would like to reduce the amount of time changing, lost property and ensure the children have the appropriate clothing for the sessions. Please could the children wear their PE kits for the extracurricular sessions. If the session is on one of their PE days, then they will already be dressed ready for the sessions. Otherwise, they can bring their PE kit in a small bag ready for to change into at the end of the day.
