PHONICS
We will be recapping the letter and sound patterns that the children learnt last year as well as introducing them to new patterns that would have been introduced during the school closure. This will ensure they have a solid understanding before moving onto either the Y1 or Y2 Curriculum. The Year 2 children would have had to sit the Y1 Phonics Screening Test during the Summer Term but due to school closures last year, these were cancelled. We will be preparing the Year 2 children to take these tests during the Autumn Term.
